Welbeck agrees Terms on a New Five Year Contract

The young United star has impressed every one with his sparkling form and is all set to earn three times more than what he earns now.

Talks were going on between the club officials and Welbeck’s representatives and finally both the parties have reached an agreement which will see Welbeck earn £45000 a week, a jump from £15000. This contract will keep Welbeck at Old Trafford till 2016.
Both the Club and the players are delighted at the outcome of the talks which were going on for some weeks now.
Welbeck has showed time and time again that he is capable of big things and having scored five goals already this season, he has jumped ahead of Dimitar Berbatov in the pecking order.
The 20 year old star’s current deal ends in 2013, but United are keen on a longer term contract and the value Welbeck has brought into the first team, he deserves a pay hike and a better contract.
Sir Alex Ferguson is also impressed with the boy’s passion for the game, he was quoted:
“I think he’s ready for England.” Ferguson said last month. “He’s got a talent as good as anyone in the English game for the forwards and I think he’s almost certain to get his chance now.

“I don’t think there’s any doubt about that. He has great belief in himself, the boy. He’s a confident lad and intelligent. I think he’s ready and I don’t think there’s any doubt.”

There are some issues to be resolved but Welbeck will soon put pen to paper to become the latest player among the ones committing their futures to the club after Javier Hernandez and Tom Cleverley.
