ESFNA says Teddy Afro-GossayE Concert Cancelled Due to Visa complications
WASHINGTON, DC – Teddy Afro and Gossaye Tsegaye, the two superstars who were on schedule to perform at the annual soccer tournament underway in DC, were unable to clear travel problems to the United States and hence their shows have been cancelled,Ethiopian Sports Federation in North America (ESFNA) announced in a press release on Thursday.
ESFNA said the unhappy incident was beyond its control, and tickets sold for the performances would be refunded.
“Refunds have already been processed for all customers who purchased presale tickets to the Teddy Afro & Gossaye event on our website. Refunds will take 5 to 10 days to appear on your statement.
For problems related to online tickets, ESFNA advised fans to contact Samson Mulugeta via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
“The Saturday closing night show remains unchanged and will go on as previously scheduled,” the sports governing body said, adding Echostage, Washington DC’s largest dedicated concert venue, remains the official venue for all ESFNA entertainment events from Thursday July 2nd through Saturday July 4th.
Echostage is on 2135 Queens Chapel Rd NE, Washington, DC 20018.
Despite the inability to process a travel visa for Teddy Afro and Gossaye in time for their concert, ESFNA and Blue Sky Promotions have worked tirelessly in tandem, to successfully expedite the same visa process for Jacky Gosee.
As a result, Jacky Gosee WILL be performing together with the legendary Aster Aweke on Friday, July 3rd.
Once again, all events will begin at 10 PM and will take place at the state-of-the-art Echostage. ESFNA genuinely appreciates the support and understanding of its guests as the Federation has been forced to adjust its 2015 entertainment schedule due to unforeseen circumstances that are beyond its control, ESFNA said in its press release.
